Current Initiatives and Opportunities
The Wyre Business Awards provide a valuable platform to celebrate and champion local business success. Here is the take up so far, as you can see very few rural businesses have entered. One of the awards is Farming and Countryside to celebrate our farmers and contractors, and suppliers; we have only had one entry.
- The new business support programme and Small Business Growth Grant for existing businesses. Again, we have seen little take up from our rural areas and towns. See attached information.
- The Rural Survey provides an important opportunity for residents and businesses to help shape future priorities and investment decisions affecting our rural communities. This follows on from the Sowing the Seeds event last October.
