TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 18/09/2026 TO 22/09/2026 CARR LANE

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (CARR LANE, PILLING, WYRE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) NOTICE 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council consider it necessary or expedient by reason of works being executed on the following length of road that the prohibition should come into force without delay under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Notice.
1. No person shall cause any class of traffic to proceed over that length of Carr Lane, Pilling outside Carr Lane Crossing Cottage.
2. Nothing in this notice shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 1300 hours on Friday 18th September until 1600 hours on Tuesday 22nd September 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. A diversion will be signed locally. The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow excavation works to repair a leaking main to be carried out.
